Vintage Realty named property manager of former CHRISTUS Schumpert Hospital campus

Vintage Realty was selected as leasing agent and property manager of the expansive Margaret Place Property in Shreveport.

The landmark property includes the former CHRISTUS Schumpert Hospital and five additional free standing buildings totaling approximately 947,000 square feet. The property also includes a five story covered parking garage with spaces for approximately 740 vehicles.

Located just 1 mile south of Downtown Shreveport, the area is seeing revitalization and investment for retail, office and residential development. Vintage is providing full Property Management services including Leasing, Marketing, Accounting, and Maintenance.

The vision for Margaret Place Properties, Inc. is to be the first multi-use facility of its kind in the region dedicated to healthcare, wellness, education of new physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals creating an environment conducive for collaboration of many medical disciplines under one roof with education and research opportunities as well. LSU Health Shreveport, an academic health sciences center, initially intends to occupy a small portion of the main hospital and medical office building at 1801 Fairfield Avenue. The Margaret Place Properties campus is located within 1.3 miles of the LSU Health campus. Buildings included in the development include:

Complementing the mission of LSU Health to teach, heal and discover, ideal tenants include higher education, training facilities, specialty practices, companies conducting clinical trials, services such as in-patient and out-patient rehab, skilled nursing, long term acute care, nursing home, senior living, market rate apartments, day surgery/out-patient surgery, lab facilities, research facilities, centers of excellence, imaging and physician office space for clinics. Traditional office space users are also welcome. It is anticipated that the cafeteria and food service will be provided by a third party to support the various uses.
